Pics of my Week

I made bread from scratch!  Part of training is learning to make bread.  It's different from actually making it over a fire (like we'd have to do in the village).  We actually got to use an oven this time!

This is the kitchen... where all the good stuff happens.  The ovens we used for bread baking are on the right side.  We use a fire-heated oven/stove, which means we constantly have to make sure it is lit.

The rains have been plentiful in the past week!  We're supposed to go to a local resort on Sunday afternoons, but it was raining so hard and the road down the mountain was so slippery that they cancelled it.  So what do you do in that case?  Make a slip and slide!

And this is what happens when you get too much rain... your laundry never dries.
