i'm applying to be a missionary with wycliffe bible translators! i'll do accounting, at least to start with, somewhere around the world. i haven't decided that "somewhere" yet. pending my acceptance, i have online training starting at the end of august and on-site training in orlando in october (hopefully i won't have to wait until january), and then i'll get to work with someone in deciding where i go. since they need accountants all over the world (africa, europe, asia), i'll pretty much get my pick of where i want to go!
in october emily and i are moving out of our apartment and separating. i don't think i'll like that whole separation thing. she's been with me for three whole years! i'll go through emily-withdrawals a lot. she's a really awesome roommate and comes highly recommended by me. :)
today i'm just starting to realize how big of a life change this is. everything i know now will go away... where i live, where i go every day, what i do, what i own, who i see every day. since i'll stay in atlanta for a while, most things will still be familiar. the big change will be when i relocate to a different country. wow. am i being dramatic? sorry :)
i haven't experienced any of this yet... it's like it's not even real. but i know that it's coming.
i'm so thankful for the blessings i'm already seeing from taking this step into the next chapter of my life. i have a great friend who has graciously offered her extra bedroom for me to stay in. everyone i have told about this is super excited for me, and can't wait to support me prayerfully and possibly financially. my work is behind me 100%. my family is completely on board and supportive... i have an amazing family.
friday i have a pretty big interview with them. then after that it's just waiting to see what they say!
So excited for you! Can't wait to follow you on this journey!
