the cockroach.

this month dr. stanley is celebrating 40 years at first baptist atlanta. a video is shown every week covering a decade of his ministry there, so he sits on the front row to watch it. then when he gets up to preach he needs someone to fill his spot. so i did that yesterday. and this is my story...

i was sitting there, being completely self-conscious because i might be on camera, but paying close attention to dr. stanley. i glanced down for a split second and what did i see? a roach. a huuuge roach. it was crawling right in front of the stairs that lead up to the platform. it made a little pit stop at the outlets in the floor and tried to get under the cover. then it made a beeline directly for our music minister. dr. stanley is really good at making eye contact with people on the front row, but while he was looking the other way i kept trying to glance over there to see the music minister's reaction. he's really good at keeping a straight face. but turns out he hates roaches. he very nonchalantly stomped on it. there were lots of guts. dr. stanley was none the wiser. it was great.
